The Linha Singers Ensemble consists of group of singers and instrumentalists whose musical language defies any standard and well established borders between the various musical genres. The distinctiveness of their executant skill lies in their vocal technique which enables them to give a singing expression even to demanding instrumental scores without mimicking or caricaturing. While invariably striving at perfect instrument-like intonation, rhythm and ensemble, they at the same time take full advantage of the natural capabilities of the living human voice - its coloristic nuance, pulsating flexibility and inimitable emotional expressiveness. The Linha Singers do not view the attractiveness of their way as a means in itself, but rather make use of it as an expedient to impress upon their audiences additional beauties of the great masters' musical heritage, of loveliness long forgotten, or neglected. Presently their basic repertoire mainly includes vocal transcriptions of XVII - XIXth centuries instrumental music as well as a number of compositions by contemporary authors.
